Tracy Curvelo’s love of dance and music began at the early age of two and continues to present. In addition to dance, she is an accomplished pianist (20 years), violinist (15 years), and vocalist (25 years). She has performed with numerous community and professional groups in piano, violin, and voice, including media appearances, musical theater, and other venues. Her artistic and musical aptitude earned her several university scholarships including the Cragun Music Scholarship. She has studied nearly every style of dance, including ballet, tap, jazz, cheer, hip hop, tumbling, Irish, modern, African, character, and more. She received a bachelor’s degree in dance education in 1999 from Southern Utah University, after which she studied dance abroad at the Columbo Dance Academy in Zurich and the Basel Ballet Company in Switzerland. She has studied and danced with many renowned dancers/choreographer that have helped her to build her dance and teaching style to what it is today. Between her performing and teaching, Tracy has won countless state and national awards in dance, choreography, and costume design. In 2007 she was thrilled to see her dream of bringing The Forgotton Carols in dance to life and earn over $10,000 for charities such as The Make A Wish Foundation of Utah and The Utah Food Bank. She was able to work with professionals from the music and dance industry and collaborate with Michael McLean himself. She has taught and directed dance for over 17 years and has proven herself a success in whichever venue she chooses.
